A welcome message from our ceo

Welcome to Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois.
For more than a century, Boys & Girls Clubs have stood as a trusted place where young people are safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Here in Southern Illinois, that mission is more important than ever.
Every day, our Clubs provide opportunities for children and teens to learn, grow, and thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to meeting young people where they are, responding to the evolving needs of our communities, and ensuring every child has access to high-quality programming, caring mentors, and a sense of belonging.
None of this work happens alone. It is made possible through the dedication of our staff, the leadership of our Board, the generosity of our donors, and the trust of families and community partners who believe in our mission.
Thank you for visiting our website and for being part of a movement to help all young people become “Future Ready”. Together, we are building stronger youth, stronger families, and stronger communities across Southern Illinois.
With gratitude and purpose,
Dr. LaShonda Hubert

Cataleiya is a dedicated and energetic 6th grader who shines at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois. With a big heart and an even bigger passion for food and family, Cataleiya brings warmth and enthusiasm to everything she does. She loves singing, staying active through Triple Play, and making healthy choices that keep her energized and focused.

At the Club, Cataleiya is known for her willingness to help staff, her eagerness to learn, and her natural leadership potential. Skilled in both singing and cooking, she hopes the Club will one day offer a cooking or baking program—something she is excited to participate in and help inspire.
