Front Desk Clerk

Full-Time 40 hours:

The primary function of this position is Front Desk security, safety, and integrity of Club access, which includes Club members, families, staff, board members, visitors, volunteers, donors, and community members, etc. This position is also responsible for membership enrollment, member check-in/out, membership data maintenance, and customer service.

Recreation Youth Development Professional

Hourly, Non-Exempt:

The primary function of the Recreation Youth Development Professional is to oversee all aspects of the Club Recreation Program delivery including activity design, scheduling, staff training, administrative requirements, building and equipment care, customer service, data collection, and other duties.

The primary function of this position is managing the delivery of a broad range of programs with the BGCSI Pillars of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles within the Core Area structure. This position will plan, develop, organize the program schedule and its implementation. He/She will recruit, train, and supervise staff and uphold and communicate administrative needs to staff, volunteers, and Club user groups.

Youth Development Professionals

The primary function of this position is to develop and deliver programs for K-12 youth in one or more areas of the Core Program structure of the Boys & Girls Club, including Character & Leadership Development; Education & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; Sports, Fitness & Recreation; and Service Learning. This position will assist with overall supervision of Club members and participate in the creation of a safe, positive, engaging, and team-oriented Club atmosphere.

Site Coordinator

Lewis School
Full-Time, Non-Exempt:

The Site Coordinator is responsible for being the liaison with the school district in academic programming, by planning, coordinating, and assisting employees in the implementation of tutoring, mentoring, and Club programs. The Site Coordinator supervises Youth Development Professionals and volunteers in program planning for programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois (21st Century; OJP; Teen Reach Sites). The Site Coordinator will be responsible for communicating with the team regarding issues, concerns, and strategies to implement and ongoing support of employees working with youth. Will be responsible for assuring membership applications, parent orientations, and data (attendance and membership information) is entered daily. As a Core Team member, the Site Coordinator will lead, administer, and oversee daily operations of the school-based site, as well as long-range planning and goal-directed action. Exhibits a high level of leadership, initiative, and responsibility in his or her job performance.

Social Worker

Rebound Alternative High School
Full-Time, Non-Exempt:

Under the direction of the Coordinator of Social Work Services, the Social Worker provides social work services to their assigned site. These services are provided to members and member families using various social work methods, including individual, group, and family counseling. these functions are performed under supervision yet require the ability to exercise independent and sound judgment. The social worker will provide psychosocial services and crisis intervention as necessary. As a Core Team member, the social worker will help guide and administer social work services at BGCSI, as well as long-range planning and goal-directed action. The social worker needs to exhibit a high level of leadership, initiative, and responsibility in their job performance.
